The First Transnational Project Meeting of the "Developing Farmers’ Digital Skills" project, which is carried out under the coordination of Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, was held on 14-15 March 2019 in Aydın, Turkey with 20 participants from 5 partner countries.
Project partners in the "Development of Digital Skills of Farmers" Project are Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry (Project Coordinator), Aydın Governorship (EU and Foreign Relations Office), Aydın Adnan Menderes University (Faculty of Education), Söke Agricultural Production Enterprise Agricultural Extension and In-Service Training Center, Karpuzlu Chamber of Agriculture, Developmental Center of Thessaly (Greece), Euroform RFS (Italy), Inercia Digital SL (Spain) and Institut Pro Trénink Pohostinnosti (Czech Republic).
The meeting is started on March 14, 2019 with the participation of the Aydın Provincial Director Ahmet ÖKDEM, lasted for 2 days and ended with a certificate ceremony held with the participation of Aydın Deputy Governor Mustafa Hulusi ARAT.
The main purpose of the "Developing Farmers' Digital Skills (DIGIFARMER)" project, which was selected among 130 projects in 2018 by the Center for EU Education and Youth Programs-Turkish National Agency, is to improve the digital skills of rural farmers / producers and thus increase their productivity and productivity in their social and business lives. Our goals are to increase the digital skills of rural farmers; improving the skills and competencies of technical staff and trainers; developing an innovative training methodology in the digital field; increase productivity by increasing farmers' transversal skills; to enable farmers to use internet tools and smart phone applications effectively in their social and business life.
